The Glock 17 is most likely for law enforcement only because it holds 17
cartridges. You can buy a Glock 23 .40 that holds 10 rounds and get a 12 round magazine with a spacer. I have one and it works perfect every time.
Check and see if other states permit this, I know in CA where I purchased
mine you cannot have a 17 round magazines.

I've shot plenty of different kinds of Glocks, and they have always shot very well except for the first pistol I ever owned-the Glock 36. It jammed literally every time I shot it whether it had just been cleaned or it was filthy. Plus, the grip is made for people with smaller hands and it only has a 6 round magazine. When it DID shoot, the accuracy was thrown off tremendously by the very short barrel and the feel of the grip was just awful. Would not recommend this pistol.
