The HK21 is a general purpose, belt-fed machine gun/squad automatic weapon utilizing the 7.62 x 51 mm NATO cartridge, produced and manufactured by Heckler & Koch, a German arms manufacturer.
The submachine gun may be fired at full automatic or single shot. The selector lever is just above the trigger mechanism and pistol-grip, disconnector and automatic sear are the same functions as those used in the Heckler & Koch G3. The HK21 may be used from a tripod mount or its integral bipod.
