The weapon was initially manufactured and designed by George Kelgren, the prominent Swedish firearms designer associated earlier with the Intratec, Husqvarna, and Grendel brands of firearms. The Kel-Tec P-32 is produced and manufactured by Kel-Tec CNC Industries Inc. It is designed for concealed carry by law enforcement officers and civilians as a back-up gun; all edges are smoothed and rounded and nothing protrudes from the gun to get caught onto anything being carried or clothing.
