The Kimber Eclipse Target II is one of numerous models that the Kimber manufacturing company makes. The series II designation indicates that the firearm has an internal firing pin block safety that is disengaged by gently depressing the grip safety. The Kimber Eclipse Target II has an external extractor on the firearm, in contrast to older Kimber models of similar pistols, which had an internal extractor.
