I think this is what the Army used for guard duty when I was in.

I own a mossberg 500 If anyone that wants to own one you should and if in a home defense situation buy the small barrel they might have move recoil in it but good products and they are worth it. And if a person wants more shells buy a side saddle. The reason for puting this is due of a home invasion and honestly want replys back the only thing is dont know what the person looks like but if a person in the army or police and love to hear there thoughts but I dont know the law of indiana if a person would get charged for it if a person would shoot the person but truthfully just geting sick of it and I am not going to allow it to happen again in my own home.

first off learn the gun laws in your state,go to www.nra-ila.org there will be a resource for gun laws for your state,then learn how to properly and safely handle your shotgun,maybe you have experience,maybe not,you didn't say.Next practice,practice,and practice shooting,loading,and handling your shotgun.Walk thru your house,look for avenues,sight lines,cover and concealment for yourself and potential blind spots for an intruder to surprise you from,eliminate them with mirrors,lights(even night lights will backlight an intruder).Then go outside and illiminate dark spots outside your home,cut down trees or overgrown shrubs under your windows,plant thorny bushs under your windows if possible(rose bushs are nice) if someone breaks in after you have done everything possible to prevent and protect your home kill the fucker.
