GlockMan Posted: May 31, 2007 The Steyr SPP is the semi-automatic variant of the Steyr TMP. The TMP's barrel jacket and barrel lengths were increased slightly in order to offer a greater length of protruding barrel and jacket.
The forward tactical handle was removed on the Steyr SSP and a small spur installed instead, therefore it is possible to hold it much like a very miniature rifle.
The SPP has been stated to have been created in order to fulfill the pistol example of the XVII Land Warrior objective handheld personal defense weapon. The weapon is somewhat large for a pistol and is constructed mainly from surable synthetic materials. The weapon is reviewed to be very reliable.
