Product Description
Background
The Borchardt C-93 is a semi-automatic pistol that Borchardt invented based upon the Maxim toggle-lock principle. Borchardt also developed the 7.65 x 25 mm Borchardt standard cartridge around which the C-93 was constructed. The Borchardt C-93 was the first semi-automatic pistol to be made in various high end numbers.
The Borchardt pistol was extremely expensive to produce. Further, its dramatic recoil was unexpectedly powerful. Georg Luger extensively researched the Borchardt design and devoloped the Pistol Parabellum in the late 1890s.
