Here is my new project that I got in a trade. It's a 06 FXDLI
Vance and Hines Pipes
95 CI Screamin Eagle Big Bore kit
The previous owner did some leather work and made custom saddles... He did the seat cover
Very nice. You gonna keep the ape hangers?
Not sure yet. I was thinking about switching them out, but after riding for about 60 miles today, they feel pretty good.
no front fender sucks in the rain but sometimes you gotta suffer to be cool.of course rain is always a good excuse to hit a bar till the rain blows over.
Had an 88 super glide, yeah i know it's a dyna.. if it's got the sporty front forks it's always going to be called a super glide.. the saddle is pretty cool, never fell in love with apes but then again when you reach an age where skin "flap" is a factor you skip asking for it.. sheesh i wouldn't be able to keep up with the transmision.. what is that like 6 speeds or something..
But where u Mont the M60 ?
haha, I've actually seen something similar to that before expect it involved a dirt bike, a barbed wire fence and a very embarrassed guy laying in the middle of a cactus patch while I was taking pictures of him with my cell phone. The doc had to pluck needles out of his ass crack.
greg- yup 6 speed. what did you get after the super glide?
got his ass handed to him.I think those apes are Paul Yaffees or Wicked brand,do you know?
The guy I got it from said they were "yaffe style ape hangers" in his email. All of the yaffe's that I'm seeing online have internal wiring. Mine don't have the hole for internal wiring (wiring is just zip tied). maybe they're yaffe knock offs. I don't know for sure... still trying to soak up the knowledge.
keeping it gangster...
wish i had that bike and he had a feather shoved up his ass
that way we would both be tickled.
but I am pretty envious of humpty dumpty's pants.
I thought it was a lbc sighting. Apparently I was mistaken because lbc has a feather up his ass... wait, what?
Back to my mom's basement for mountain dew, cheetos and a world of warcraft marathon.
about Mr. Whitesox, you covered some of them.
Good looking bike!!!
This picture makes me happier than it should.. You know your comfortable in your own skin when you can take a cool old (obviously has to be older than 65) scoot and hop on with a dork helmet and white socks.. who ever this is rocks..
Reap to answer your question i had two superglides, the first is in pics 88 the second was a 95, the only "seriously" modified motor i've ever had.. Sold the 95 to sorta negotiate thru a divorce, and wound up on another sporty for a tad.. in 2000 as my reward for making Lt i bought an ex police FLH.. Turned out it was my last bike, had to dismount three times riding up to Peoples Valley (from pebble creek) so figured it was time stop riding, and did.. The FLH was my first and last fuel injected.. ran perfect, which was great because i couldn't have worked on it if not..
bloop... bloop... bloop.
to go with the scoot.. tobloopada..tobloopada..tobloopada
I saw the 88 in your pics all loaded up with gear. Nice looking bike.
I’m still learning all of these f'n abbreviations. The FLH is an electra glide, right?
Sorry to do this, but got so tickled with the cheetos that i have to share the good news.. Brought the Webley (mark IV converted to 45 ACP) home this afternoon.. more will follow in a "non" hijacked post..
Have to tell you this thing is beyond my normal "cool" levil.. i decided to get back into 45's knowing im now wearing mandated hearing protection, did the "year plus" membership at shooters world as the one on Cactus is only 10 min away. I picked up an R1 Remmy to go with the rem/rand, and being revolver "dude" decided a 1917 was on the list when i found the Webley.. this was pretty simple.. smith half moon's work.. it's heavy enough to do reps with, and it has both England and RAF stamped on it.
I'm deeply in love..
your man-cave together with the door closed it is best to knock loudly before entering. Better yet, leave and come back when the door is open.
Is "G" getting suspicious when you come into the room smelling like gun lube?
Careful ol' buddy, one thing can lead to another!
Webley and you are the same age, right?
Good stuff. That's what I was thinking, DC. Morning, GS. How's the gang?
I'm ok. Lots of worry and reflection lately. I can't claim to be comfortable, I doubt if many of us are.
Motorcycle, ape hanger, dynaglide.(that aught to be on topic enough to keep reaper at bay)
That is a nice bike Reap got. I like the vid Lucky posted too. BTW, check your PM.
on. "keeping it gangster..."
I hesitated to make rude comments 'cause I thought it was a pic of Reap.
I think it's one hot lookin' bike.
