I've got almost the same setup in stainless, gonna give it to my son when he is 18, my scope isn't as nice as that one though. Either there is a lizard trying to get into the shot or your toes,hmmmmm

To hell with my son. That rifle is mine, he can get his own damned gun.

runs, do they make hotter rounds for the 10/22 that won't make it go Kaboom?

There's no such thing as a +P 22 LR round to my knowledge. Now there are 10/22s chambered in 22 mag and I think a couple of the .17 Superfast Cool Guy Whizbang rounds.

I know of the .17 HMR, fast little bastard, I'll just have to buy another damn gun geez!!!!!! My wife is already helping me to save for an AR. Bless her heart!!

Like I've always said " a 22lr might not be the most effective gun
to have but it will damn sure make someone keep their head down
and ammo is cheap, you can carry a bunch"
and 22 mini mags are not to be laughed at.

Not from a pistol, but my 10/22 is more accurate than any centerfire handgun you're likely to find, and higher capacity. Not my first choice for defending the homestead, but it'll do.
