1911A1 @ 50yds

Awhile back BFT asked about me shooting at 50. I had to wait until the wind calmed down. It blows a lot here, just a light breese today. Anyway, here 'tis. 5 shot string, the 5th is behind the gun. I fired one hand stance, left hand in pocket.

placed called the shootist on 29 street.. little sawed off barrel chested guy comes in.. i was a regular.. he did the target stance Daisy described, but weak hand center back like parade rest.. He was shooting a Natl Match, and put all 5 (from the wall) in the red.. one jagged hole with some red showing.. Amazing and a cool guy.. Said he was on the 56 Olympic team, thats why i was asking about it the other day.. this was in 85 or so, so he would have been maybe mid fifties.. If i remember right (this is funny with all the debate) im pretty sure he said they were shooting hi points at the Olympics (target pistol 22).. he was A/F and "think" he said he won the bronze but not sure.. what i know is you can shoot a one hole group, and (least he did) make it look easy..

That was @ 50yds!? Dayuum! At 50, I'd be lucky to keep it on paper.

I haven't heard anything on this in awhile. However, I've had a 92fs for the last 22 years and it's as reliable as anything else. The only thing that's been more reliable has been my glock 21. I've finally worked out the kinks in my 1911 Springfield. Took a new recoil spring and aftermarket mags.
