The Penna is a 7mmX23

Seems expensive

Ammo's gotta be hard to find, and I can't see that it could fill a role not already filled by a large number of conventional calibers. But I guess it'd be cool to show off at a range. Like a Desert Eagle .50AE

Also go to their Homepage. They are making conversion kits for this 7.92X24 for Glock 17, 19 and 1911's

Wow, no thanks.

I'll just keep my wimpy 9mm and try to rely on hitting my target. A bunch.

it would

be interesting to play around with handloading this cartridge.especially if they left some extra room in the magazine to mess with OAL and longer bullets

Like, what's the point? They are making conversion kits for a Glock 19??? So for some bucks I can convert my 9mm to a .28 caliber that I can't even find ammo for? Can someone explain what the advantages of this whole issue are? Is there some sort of special demographic they are 'aiming' for?

Just open your mind, watch the 2 videos and learn. This is not for everybody and maybe for nobody. Who knows.

That's a joke, right? No? I still don't get it, really. I was hoping one of you could enlighten me--seriously. It's not about having a closed mind. It's about trying to understand why. So next they're going to make a conversion kit to turn a .45 into a .22. Wow. I'm underwhelmed. Get in line to buy one!

I know no more about it than you do. Nobile posted a 7mm Penna on here so I looked it up and found some, I thought interesting info. So I am reading and looking to try & learn more. Haven't the foggiest idea yet, but I like the 3 in 1 shot. Makes my old eyes more valuable, with a holo sight, I might hit something. We are not all blessed with your youth and skills.

It looks to me like something that would appeal to dedicated new cartridge developers. The type who dream up a cartridge, make the drawings, theorize on the ballistics, then pay a company to make loading dies for it, have a barrel made (or at least have the chamber cut), maybe turn each bullet individually, etc. These guys live for stuff like this. Most of them make rifle cartridges, but some make handgun cartridges - look at the .50 AE, the .50 GI, etc. This is like the breath of life to them. I've known a few (very few) in my life, & they're all very similar type of people. They talk to each other endlessly about the new cartridges they're in the midst of designing. It's never appealed to me, but what the hell, everybody has to be somewhere.

If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man. (Mark Twain).

2006. at 1. Shooting contest for European Police Forces I look interesting gun and shoot with that gun in competition (I will post pictures later). 7 mm pistol gun is very high penetration capabilities, and constructor (I speak with him) told me that is perfect gun for self defense, but with very light weight bullet.
In Italy, home of constructor, that gun, in improved version I seen in gun shop, at price 1.000,00 €.
when I went to Trieste, I will took some pictures and posted.

From the looks of it

the 7 Penna is to get around the Laws against Civilians carrying weapons of Military Caliber in a pistol.

No sir, he fell into that bullet... Never argue with a stupid person. They'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience!!

Whose laws? Not American, right? I know Mexico does this. These guys seem to be from the Netherlands or Denmark or something. They probably have those laws too, huh?
