I use to drag race and build drag cars for several years. This car was my favorite. 2840 lbs. (with me). best 1/4 et 9.88 @ 126 mph.
LETS RACE SNAKE !!!!!!!!!
the last motor was a 383 small block. JE 13.2-1 compression. cast iron "bowtie" heads (we had to use production heads in our pro street class).
Eagle crank and 5.7 steel rods, Lunati roller cam and lifters. 830 cfm Holley race prep (C&S) carb. Nitrous Oxide Systems cheater system. Only used the cheater when we were grudge racing, ya know, just to take the edge off..hehe
Challanger powerglide tranny with a B&M 4800 converter and 9" narrowed Ford with 5.13 gears.
I used to be an automotive machinist by trade and built all my motors. As a hobby i built race chassis. Got out of that when my shop burnt to the ground in '98. Lost everything.
Fortunately, i had just sold this car and was building the chassis when the fire happened. Still i lost an 8000.00 rolling chassis.
I sold this car less motor and tranny to a guy in Ardmore, OK.
If you do not stand behind our troops...please stand in front of them....

Nice ride albeit 1320 at a time. What was powering it?
