What's the J M for
JM is for Jerry Miculek. This is the S&W Model 625 JM in .45 ACP. His grip design, and the special fiber optic front sight. Don't know what make the sight is. I'd LOVE to own that gun!
CW.. This guy has to be seen to be believed.. On top of everything else he's supposed to be just one great guy.. But his ability to shoot DA and "throw" in the speed loader is nothing short of an art form.. I've seen him in so many documentaries that Gloria knows his name..
If you have never seen him type in his name on the search window, and/or go to utube.. you wont believe it.. amazing and humbling.. least for normal types like us.. CW i know you do fast draw so let me change that to normal types like me. I know Ed Mcgivern (sp) is a legend, but think most will agree with em on feu
Does some unbelievable trick shots
But I would have to put him up against
He's also into 3 gun matches now, and in addition to custom revolver parts and grips, he also has some custom parts for AR's. If I remember right, he's also Jim Clark's son in law (of Clark Custom Guns). Just a good old boy from Louisiana.
Bob Munden in unbelievably fast. And he can hit what he aims at when he draws. He's just scary fast.
However, if you've seen some of the IPSC guys shoot, they're pretty scary fast too. They draw and shoot in a blur, and hit 7 targets before hell can scorch a feather.
I could shoot nearly as good as they can.
It's just fun to try.
I shoot about 2,000 rounds per month
and know I will never be that good.
But I keep on trying
there's NO question on that, or his trick shooting ability, don't think Jerry does a lot of trick shooting, what he does is ppc stuff.. the 5 plates in like 3 sec.. course thats with a reload in the middle.. yeah i might be kidding, but serious on the number of plates and reloading time..
Sorta like this.. if you have 5 plates, im guessing Bob is going to draw and get them faster than Jeffy.. if you have 10 and need reload NOBODY is going to beat Jerry.. Im pretty sure on this one guys.. One of those individual discipline things.. Sorta like me.. NO one is better than me when it comes to shotguns.. (that was some Ecaman type humor, or supposed to be)
don't bet against another mans game LMAO
Bob Munden can clear leather and hit two targets
8 feet apart in .002 seconds.
I wonder how fast
the guys in the old west were
Not taking anything away from them, they were standing up to other men, not ballons, and metal plates.. I've heard the "legends" about fast gun drawing was mostly that.. There was an old AZ ranger who was working as a sheriff in 1930.. The local bank got held up, and the BG's were getting out of town in an model T..
Guess the old boy pulled his SAA and took out both the two as they were escaping.. I've heard reports that this was from a distance of well over 25 yards, and a moving target.. Sorta wonder in a case like that or any of them if the fast draw thing was more Hollywood hype than real.. The shooting sure wasn't..
Told Larry i was going to get up and join him for coffee tomorrow.. Late as it is thats doubtful but will see.. SD (it will do for the time being till we get something good for you) .. Welcome to our little hangout.. take a look at members profiles, and get a feel of the place.. Good mix of professional types, LE, Vets, Active Mill, Raging RIght RIng Ruts, (most of us) and all in all some great folks.. Welcome..
Bob, Dubya, et all.. see you guys tomorrow..
He was talking to a young guy and told him
"It's not being fast and it's not being accurate,
it's having the guts to stand up that counts"
I pretty much believe that was true back then
I'm getting off too. It's late and I'm tired. My blood sugar went way too low earlier today, and I've felt like hell ever since. See you guys tomorrow.
