A man walks into a cocktail lounge and approaches a girl sitting by herself and asks, "May I buy you a cocktail?"
"No thank you," she replies, "alcohol is bad for my legs."
"Sorry to hear that.. Do they swell?"
"No, they spread."
Good stuff daisy. How are you tonight?
and tomorrow will be gooder :<)
Tornadoes last night went way north of us, maybe 80 miles, that's okay by me.
What's new in Tejas? Eatin' lots of red beans & corn bread? I DO like Texas cookin'.
Mrs. Daisy called the Cobra company in Utah to find out about my pistole, they said it should be fixed & shipped this week, if not there is a gun show next week LOL !!
Work's beating me down lately. Been on the tail end of a project from hell that doesn't want to go away.
Hadn't had beans and corn bread in a while, and it sure sounds good. But I did make a hell of a dinner last night. Roasted chicken and potatoes with corn on the cob. It came out gooood.
Gun shows are my nemesis. I'm like a kid in a candy store. I was at the range this weekend and they have a used guns rack. There was a Remington 1100 for $350. It looked to be about early to mid 60's. Nice engraving and checkering. No screw in choke. It was fixed. A little flash rusting. 12 Ga. and probably 2 3/4 only. If my son hadn't talked me down, I would've went home with it.
grease on my chin! LOL. Mrs. been talking about smoking 2 chickens, sound good?
I seldom find anything I want at gunshows. Last time I bought a really nice near new leather belt holster for my S&W "J", $10.
I usually buy cast bullets at the shows but right now I'm ammo rich. I'd like to get an inside the waistband holster for the .380, we'll see.
If just the right gun jumps into my hand I may be forced to buy. That happened when my Colt King Cobra hollered at me from the dealer's table :<)
I gave my step-son my J.C. Higgins 12ga pump, a beautiful gun, it needed a little work, if he's not done anything with it I may get it back just to keep it safe. That 1100 Remington you saw, in my opinion, is a great gun. I'm not a shotgunner but I like that one.
Smoked chicken sounds great. Mesquite? Apple?
If I don't find something at a gunshow I would like (that TBH wouldn't divorce me over), I usually look for WWII GI gear. Got a steel pot helmet, pistol belt, mag pouches, canteen w/ cover, mess kit, etc. I enjoy the memorabilia.
The Higgins, if the kid don't get it right, I'll let you adopt me. ;)
I'll let you adopt me."
Son, bring your own gunsafe, mine's full LOL!!
Goodnight, see ya tomorrow.
