Hey neighbor look to your south, I'm waving my Colt.
Sure there are ugly guns just like there are
ugly cars. I might like a Chevy and you a Ford.
Geting from point A to point B is is the point.
I've never burried a Colt but I've heard stories
from millions of G Is about Colt so thats enough
and I own a Gold Cup that has never failed so I
believe them.
From there it's just your opinion and your
pocketbook that makes the differance. I do know
how accurate my Colt is and don't worry about
anything else.
Sorry I pissed yall off lol You'll get over it
A little rebellion is good medicine for the government
Thomas Jefferson
NO need to apoligize....the goverment pisses me off, not you! I personally have no problem with the 1911, it has been there with some of are best and is one of the reasons we can sit here and argue about this shit. All I'am saying is that when it comes to everyday carry and protection of my family, I'am reaching for the Glock not a Springfield. The reasons are weight, capacity, reliabilty, and yes they are accurate. I have both in my collection so it's just a personal chioce, like you said Ford VS. Chevy!(Ford for me)
"Two flags fly above my land that really sum up how I feel. One is the colors that fly high and proud the red the white the blue. The other ones got a rattlesnake with a simple statement made, Don’t Tread On Me is what it says"
Well the Gold Cup isn't regular Army
issue either, it has already been
tuned up to match grade and is as
smooth shooting as any big bore can get.
Then the adjustable trigger pull makes it
even easier to get used to. It's just
the Lemo of autos. Again my opinion
I'll still take my Ruger 9in 44 mag for
accuracy in big bores. Even over my Gold Cup
A little rebellion is good medicine for the government
Thomas Jefferson
i' have,nt shot a Colt 1911, but i have shot the Taurus and it was very nice...also Several Kimbers which were very smooth.Has anyone ever shot a Wilson Combat? I want to know if it warrents the 2700.00 price tag.
I totally agree. No way for me but she
is used to shooting 100 yards with her
Ruger 44 mag so it's no big deal. right lol
She is a Navy brat and grew up shooting her

alloy bullets shoot a lot differant at long

A little rebellion is good medicine for the government
Thomas Jefferson
is a great design and I do give it its props.I've shot quite a few Glocks and they just did'nt thrill me.Im not saying they are bad guns....just not for me.
Now look at a 1911 Colt Gold Cup Match.
The Glock is butt ugly and the Colt
shoots better. The only reason the FBI
issues Glock is Colt closed it's doors
over stupid law suits
A little rebellion is good medicine for the government
Thomas Jefferson
The FBI went with the Glock for the same reasons many Police agencies did. The fact that they were getting a high capicity, DAO firearm that was very reliable, and safe. The only mistake the FBI made was not sticking with the 10MM Glock 20.
"Two flags fly above my land that really sum up how I feel. One is the colors that fly high and proud the red the white the blue. The other ones got a rattlesnake with a simple statement made, Don’t Tread On Me is what it says"
In my mind the 1911s are a nice sidearm and look nice as well. Reason I prefer Glock primarily is Reliabilty, Less moving parts, Lighter weight, and Cost. The Glock is a nice sidearm as well. This spring I am moving up to an H&K .45 USP Compact with supressor. Ive been doing my homework on this one as well. There are plenty of unreliable automatic handguns out there that deserve to be picked on. I have never had any problems with a Glock in that department.
There's no reason to be the richest man in the cemetery. You can't do any business from there.

You asked if one of the Wilson Combat guns selling for $2700 was worth it. It certainly wouldn't be worth it to me. I love 1911's, & have shot them for many years, but I don't need all the extras on one that raises the price that high. Perhaps if I were one of the top competitors in IPSC or IPDA, and heavily into the sport, AND either had money to burn or a sponsor, I might have one from Wilson Combat, Ed Brown, Les Baer, etc. But since I'm not, there's no way in hell I would spend that kind of money for one. Like Daisycutter, I've built them on Essex & on Caspian frames, & they shot as well as a Colt (for me, at least). Now if I was guaranteed that I could sell the Wilson Combat for $3000 the next day, I'd buy one!
If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man. (Mark Twain).
im just glad to know that if i drop my glock 23 from a cliff, drop it in mud, drop it at the snow, drop it on water, that it will still fire......accurately.
and i dont get people calling any type of firearm ugly, because im trying to protect myself with a gun, not charming a perp with one.
I'm just another damn yankee with a loaded gun looking for some fun!
I own several ugly guns and more beautifull
guns.I own 1 auto pistol I like and it
happens to be my Colt. The rest of my
hand guns are revolvers and I've never seen
an auto as pretty as a revolver. I can say that
because I am a gun owner and own both.
That's why they make Fords and Chevys

We live in the Weaver mts. on hyway 89 bout equidistant from Wickenburg to Prescott. a little town of Yarnell is close, were in a place called Peeples Valley (yep thats the right spelling) back in 1860 Paulene Weaver who was quite a scout for hire took a gold co investor, AJ Peeples on a trip out of Wickenburg. He named the mountains after himself (or someone did) the Mountains go to close to 7K and our in a U shape. the valley in the middle old AJ named after himself. Guess they found enough gold to start up the town of Yarnell at 5k ft. its now grown to a whole 900 people. post office, bank, grocery store, 3 churches, 3 bars, no stop lights hyway 89 is main street.. Peeples Valley is 4 miles away for those who like to live rural. History lesson done.
a man has to hold his word, hold his beliefs, and hold a good sight picture.
This is to cool, wife and i got a duramax when i retired. I put Michlons on it. and nothing...repeat NOTHING can get to the top of that hill faster than my 605 ftlb of torgue Duramax.. When ever we go to Wickenburg we always get the sports cars that are out for the big hill. Weve lived here for 6 years and i know the perfect apex points on every corner so.. You cant believe the looks i get from Porches or BMW's when they get blasted by a TRUCK.. to funny.. and the wife and i have this practised boored look of a rural retired couple who are just out for a drive while we blow past them.. I just love to put Liberal MBA Yuppies in there place..

The best defence hand gun is the one that is closes to you, or the one in your hand, be it shotgun, hand gun, long gun.Opinions are like assholes, we all got one!
If you have a, Smith, Ruger, Colt, Glock, Remington, they are all Emitional!
So buy a GOOD reliable weapon, shoot it a lot, be able to hit what yer shooti'n @!
Now 4 U Guys in Southern Airzonia, I recomend, 12 ga pump/auto, and a damn GOOD side arm, with several Magizines! Hollow Pts. of Choise. I use in my Duty Gun Remington Golden Saber 124gr(+p). What I buy for home is Hornady, Critical Defence, also Federal 124gr. Hydra- Shock(+P+). Remington L.E. 870, 7 1/2 shot, cause I got Neighbors! Or I'd use my 12ga. 00 copper plated,15 pellet mag's.
Now, having said all of this, Buy the best defence ammo, 4 y'r best hand gun, have a plan, rehearse that plan(even 2 plans). Then call the cops to draw the line around the corps.

I think I would aim for the face. I think if I
were in an apartment I would at least have #4

I have my Mossy 20ga pump full of #3 Buck.
It is comfortable for everyone in my house
to shoot and I wouldn't feel safe with anything

I've never fired a Glock. I'm totally happy

see how a Glock could improve on it.
