it is a Browning A Bolt in 7mm Mag i am refinishing the stock and have already matte blued the metal.
very nice work
i enjoy doing this stuff
ur damn good at it.
Greasy, you moonlighting in the gunsmith's shop or are you looking to change careers? Looks like a great move so far. If you love what you are doing to make money, is it considered a job? That is like when I was on the road with my band. The work was hard, the hours were long, the pay sucked and I was away from my family for days and weeks at a time, but I loved what I was doing. Was it a job? Hell no! When I got to step out on that stage, grap that mic, and scream out at the top of my lungs, all was good in Jim's world. The backstage perks weren't bad either.
in the third person? Uh-oh, Jim is embarrassed with himself now. Damn, did it again.
i am loooking to do just this very thing.and may be joining my local gunshop as a full partner very soon.now it is just for fun.i do all the bluing and stock work for the shop.
It is not often that we get to pursue what we love to do AND get paid for it. And from what I see so far, you have got the gift for it. Sounds like you have got it going on. It is an art form to put a finish on a stock, blue metal and set up firing mechanisms. You are an artist. A lot of folks don't understand the intricacies of making a gun stock both beautiful and durable, not to mention doing the same for the metal. Awesome!!
i am even trying to get "the guvment" to give me a small business loan.think they will fund a gun shop?
Way to stick it to the Man. Things like that is what makes Nancy Pelosi huff botox.
this is a rifle i did in the matte blue finish.this is what would be the best on your piece.the coatings are ok but i like to stick to bluing as much as possible.I will get some pics of my parkerizing.i have 2 customers AK's here now that are parked.one gray and one black park.i havent taken any pics of the dura caot yet.will do it though.
Cool, Thanks! Send me a PM for how much you would charge me to at least reblue the thing and we'll work from there. Thanks
Just saw the matte bluing, I really like that one!
for guns as in it wont chip or peel off later on after lots of rounds.and the sand blasted finish holds oil real nice too for hunting guns and carry weapons that are exposed to rain and moisture.
Send me a pm for the price, I can repost a pic if you want?
if you would!sorry,i see so many guns they all just look the same after awhile and i cant beign to remember them all.
Give me a minute you old fart!
shit man!i am 32!but i feel old...
Alright, smelly instead!
you both have PM's
