If you guys have not been to Arlington and have not seen The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, I highly recommend it...a very moving experience. If you are in DC of course, there are many things to see...go see them all. Another awesome thing is the Holocaust Museum...very powerful. Powerful things to check out:
1. Ground Zero (and the AMEX Building Mounument--see this--inside lobby)
2. Pearl Harbor/USS Missouri Monument
3. Arlington / Tomb of the Unknown Soldier
4. Any professional military funeral
5. Holocaust Museum
6. Gettysburg Battlefield

You need to see the Vietnam Wall and if it is in the summer months on Tuesday night the Marine Silent Drill Team and Band proform in front of the Iwo Jima Mounument.

Of course...I did see the Vietnam Memorial Wall also...very moving as well. The only thing I would recommend with visiting this place is to go early in the morning or during a time when tourism is lower. I went in the summer months and it was so crowded that it was difficult to get a good view or stand and reflect...but otherwise, great. Of course, I loved all the monuments. The WWWII is absolutely fantastic as well...All of the DC area is a great place to just walk, ride, etc and reflect upon the history of our nation, great place.
