now who would want to eat cute little puppy dogie ka it nice that soldier have pet in field. this was common in both world war neh. and not for dinner either. but have seen movie King Rat and remember scene where the POW cook and eat dog because great hunger can do terrible thing to person neh. at least think it was King Rat. think samD would know for certain about this.
I have seen many cats and dogs hanging from the eves of houses in the country in So Korea. Never tried it, though it's been offered.
Also some of the south Pacific islands like Palau covet dogs as an entree. A friend of mine was stationed there and saw some natives looking at his yellow Lab. He evidently got into a heated argument about them trespassing and putting the eye on the dog.
The confrontation ended with the Palauans saying "don't worry we not eat your dog; we would never eat a Yellow Dog"
(You have to look behind all of that outer space stuff)
