RPK-perimeter defense weapon.

RPK-perimeter defense weapon.

I picked up this M72 Yugo RPK kit for 200 bucks i think(too many guns ago)I machined the receiver out of .065 thick steel myself on a Bridgeport mill and bent it with the help of a friend and his bending jig.I welded in the rails myself using a Miller wire feed because my POS TIG wouldnt cooperate.Anyhoo,2000+ rounds later and it still runs great!I aquired the scope mount and rail, which are stamped "Made In Belarus".i dont know anything more about them.I mounted a 6-24x50 power Tasco scope on it for shits and grins. This combo, with Yugo surplus FMJ will shoot 2 and a half inches at 300 yards!and this from a "commie gun"!very fun though!

Here's a nodak receiver RPK Yugo, I have never heard anyone milling a stamped receiver, bending a flat yes. I have built a lot of yugo's and soon will have several Yugo Krinkov's with milled receivers built.

That depends

You drilled your own holes and installed the front trunnion correct.

If so what did you use for checking the head space?

I have bought complete builds anywhere from 399.00 to 450.00 built on Nodak receivers.

Also if you used the original barrel just about all are frosted and or pitted, therefore they sell for less. Yugos were not chrome lined except the krinkovs.
