Bailing Out California
The Big-Lie State

The Los Angeles Times reports that California Gov. Schwarzenegger will look to the federal government to bail out his failing state.
The governor is seeking at least $8 billion in federal money or there will be "massive cuts in social services."
In a related story the Times attacked Schwarzenegger for suggesting on "State of the Union" on CNN last Sunday that much of California's problems stem from illegal immigration.
"But illegal immigration didn't get California into its budget fix, and full federal payment – an unlikely project won't get us out," the Times argued. They go on to say, "Playing into the anti-immigrant chorus, even in a quest for federal money, undermines the message every Californians must hear..."
The Times is lying. Illegal immigration did get California into its budget fix and those who said so are not "anti-immigrant," they are anti-illegal immigration.
When we tried to recall Gray Davis he responded by saying, "The sponsors of this initiative are trying to deceive California voters into believing that illegal aliens are receiving taxpayer-paid benefits. That is not true."
California is not only the illegal immigration state, it is the big-lie state.
