u getting one?

Don't they get up on their hind legs and run like hell when spooked?

Tallguy: Yeah I'm getting a baby one on Wednesday. I've had a full grown adult growing up but I had to sell it when I went into the Marines. Just time to get a new one.

ISD: Yeah they do. But if you know how to handle them, the natural reaction is to freeze and stay still. As long as you don't squeeze them or shake them. They do love to just sprint for the fun of it though. Sprinting, climbing, and basking are their favorite things.

that looks like the one I had. He would just sit on a log when he was cooled off, but after he had been basking underneath the lamp for a while he would get really amped up and start running all around like a madman or start doing push ups. He liked flexing on me. He never bit me, but did have some pretty sharp little claws. They're pretty easy to take care of, just need to keep spraying them with water.

Yeah I'm really excited to get mine. I got one of the books for them when I went and picked up the terrarium and what not. Been reading through it and taking notes. When I was still a kid and had one, I just fed him. Didn't do too much of the actual taking care of him. Plus he was an adult when I got him, so the selecting of the baby and the care of the baby is new to me.
