2/21/2008 - CANNON AIR FORCE BASE N.M.- Col. Timothy Leahy, 27th Special Operations Wing commander, presents Ira Pollard with a commanders coin Feb. 20 at the Buffalo Soldier luncheon at the Commissary. Mr. Pollard is the last living Buffalo Soldier in New Mexico. The Buffalo Soldiers, comprised entirely of African-Americans, fought in every American conflict from the Civil War through World War II. the all black pilot squadron from WWII were buffalo soldiers too right?
