A Yuba City, CA man used his handgun to fend off three burglars who invaded his home and endangered his life.
Police say that two females and one male broke into David Massey Yuba City, CA home. Massey reportedly discovered one of the female home invaders in his kitchen, grabbed his gun, and chased the suspects from his home. The suspects are said to have gotten into to a Ford Explorer parked in Massey's circular driveway, then driven the vehicle towards Massey, prompting him to fire into the vehicle in an attempt to stop it and save himself. The explorer rolled on its side, and the suspects fled on foot through a nearby prune orchard. Police reportedly arrested 3 suspects nearby a short while later. Detectives are said to have discovered jewelry boxes and other suspected stolen items in the crashed vehicle, and are investigating whether the suspects were involved in multiple burglaries. Massey was unharmed, while the two female suspects were treated at a local hospital for injuries believed to have been sustained when the SUV crashed, according to police.
It turns out that Mr. Massey's last encounter with home invaders also ended with a self defense gun use. On July 2nd, 2008, Massey reportedly fired his handgun at a suspected burglar fleeing in a pickup truck, and also held another alleged burglar at gunpoint until police arrived.
Once again, gun ownership has allowed a homeowner to defend himself against numerically superior alleged attackers. Had Mr. Massey not been armed, He may have been harmed in his own home, or run down by an SUV in his own driveway. Luckily, Mr. Massey was armed, and managed to eject 3 intruders from his home and avoid being run down in his driveway. Society also seems to have benefited from his self defense, since 3 alleged home invading robbers and a suspected getaway vehicle are now in police custody. Armed self defense works, plain and simple.

Some time back, I took a solid week of 3-5 hr days (retirement is so fun) and went thru all of Sams pictures.. The site has evolved in that period of time, and content is now provided by "many".. That being said the bulk of what is the original "gunslot" rests on our boy Sam's 20K or so posts..
For you newer members, it's only recently that Sam has started having his posts counted again. When i came on the site Sam was no longer compiling points.. Stopped when he reached 10K and i know that there was close to two years when NO points were added.. Let me make this clear ..(sound like my boy Newt huh..) point count is meaningless.. I've had two sentence posts, and 20 paragraph posts.. points mean shit.. what matters is content.. Sam has made or days with his posts.. Thought i had seen them all..(least the pic's).. nope. I was surprised a couple of times yesterday, and first time i've seen this..

lol Yeah, it was entrapment. I'm sure CA DAs are prosecuting. Their case: he owns a handgun. Clearly he is up to something. Why would a good subject... er I mean citizen need a handgun? It's his 2nd incident. Clearly he is baiting these poor criminal... er I mean disenfranchised persons. It was only 2 females and 1 male and all they did was drive an SUV at him. He clearly over-reacted. And law only allows force to be met with equal force, so he should have gotten into an SUV and drove at them. He is clearly a menace to society and these three disenfranchised kids are his victims.
