CETME FR-7 & FR-8

CETME FR-7 & FR-8

Here is some of my favorite milsurps. These are a rare find in my area. The way I acquired these rifles is a story in of its self. I traded a GSG-5L for the FR-7 and upon close inspection I saw the serial number which was extremely low being 0023x. Upon research the lowest know FR-7 serial number is 00157. Further research showed me that it had a twin out there the FR-8. and after several months of rigorous searching I found the FR-8 which has serial numer 085xx upon which I paid $450 for as I must have it. I also bought one Bayonet for the FR-7 which was the newest type for it and later on a friend had a Bayonet which he had no clue what it was for and so he let me have it and low and behold it was the older type which was for the FR-7 and the newer one was for the FR-8 so I switched them to be original and now everything is on par. Only thing I lack is the cleaning kit that goes inside the tubes under the barrel and slings original to the FR-7 and FR-8. Also to mention both rifles have H&K barrels and all are numbers matching. No import marks and both are in 90%-95% condition.

Also would like to say the FR-7 was the first of the Mauser action rifles I have ever owned. And now my collection consists of 5 Mauser types.

Thanks DC

Im quite proud of my collection. I am thinking next pair of rifles will be a Hakim and Rasheed but its gonna have to wait till I build up a bit of bank for it. My next purchase is a Savage Axis .308 gonna build a poor mans sniper out of it. Should be off lay away in a few weeks.

of my Arg. Mauser. A fellow I worked with laughed me out of the purchase but almost puked when I told him I bought the 1891. Very happy with the Mauser, very slick action. In matches I was able to easily keep pace with the semi-auto M1's and Ar's

Also forgot to mention

The FR-7 is a Mauser 1896 action and the FR-8 is a Mauser 1898 action.

Oh I have been

The original cockin peice on the FR-7 broke a while back but with my wizard skills I ordered an original 1896 mauser cocking and tweeked it to mimic EXACTLY the way the original was and to this day its working fine as expected!
