had a gun except for the bad guy.
that chicken shit bastard better die soon.
I had a "heated" discussion with a dude today on the subject of the armed citizen in the theater. With full balistic armor one would have needed a rifle to take him down, a 9mm/.45 would have barely slowed him down.
Dude was adamant that he could have handled it with his CC weapon (unknown caliber) sure, my .454 casull would likely work but it's a tad bit hard to carry (like an AR).
I guess my point is that if you have a determined adversary, that is armed to the teeth, with body armor. it is not practical to defend against that in a movie theater environment etc.
Just my opine!
body armor stops the projectile but does not stop the intense pain which is temporarily debilitating, well under a minute in duration. It must be kinda like someone getting hit super hard with the blunt end of a shovel handle.
I'm not going to volunteer to find out though :<))
I agree it be painful but these dudes have a "screw loose" and that can mean a lot in such a situation. remember those dudes in CA a number of years ago that robbed the bank? They brought the L.A. police to there knees, totally outgunned, full body armor, the reason LE carries M-4's and 12 ga nowadays.
