Have to get some food in a bit but thought id see what was up with "da boys".. On my end it's all about the election.. got off and started to watch mil and smithsonian (they have an "aerial" america.. thats like being there..to cool, and NM tonight) ..

Case it's been missed, Newt's kick'n some serious ass.. he was up by like 3 points..Fox called the race his.. his lead has gone up a point or two an hour now has a 13 point lead over Mitt.. and it comes down to just about 50% MORE. Pretty maz'n for someone that was counted out a week ago.. Fact is he rocked in two debates, and Mitt sorta dropped the ball on tax issues.. I've watched all the speeches so far.. Santorum might be a good guy.. he is MORE conservative i believe.. but even his crowd was sorta luke warm.. Course Paul has a fanatical following.. and tell you that were it not for some of his Foreign policy statements re Iran, Nukes, and Israel i would be on the band wagon.. all else is good stuff, but thats major league stuff to have issues with..

Talk to me brothers.. Newt's leading ..(baggage but amazing intellect) Mitt (ken doll, but i think would appeal to undecided mod's) Santorum..(true conservative, but..) Paul.. (Got it ALL going on except for mideast stuff).. By the way he gets more $ from those in mil than any other..

Simple question... as it stands right now.. Who gets the vote

Paul might do ok in Florida, but Newt is going to take Florida.

It's a Blue Hair state and most of the people I've heard speaking about it in public all gravitate to him. There are memories of Regan on many of their minds, feeling he is more likely to be the closest of the bunch to him. Many feel he will do grand things with the world and the country at home.

I personally would like Paul to take it all...

I think his biggest failing is his approach presenting himself. He looks to me like he is saying "well this is how it is, and I hope your not too stupid to see it, but thats ok if you are, *This time* "

I know that isn't what he is doing, but perception is 90% of this part of running...

No sir, he fell into that bullet... Never argue with a stupid person. They'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience!!

I hope

(cuz it looks like he is it) that Newt can follow Obama like Reagan did Carter.
The Carter years were bad but I don't know if they were this bad. I remember insane rates on mortgages, but they were there on CD's and savings accounts too.
Right now we aint paying nor recieving squat when it comes to interest.
At any rate the '80's were "tall cotton" for me and mine.
I sure hope it comes around again.

The two most successful administrations, and two that had best employment and lowest debt.. Regan and Clinton.. Think it's pretty impressive that he's worked with both sides of Congress to make them successful.. Newt is off the wall brilliant.. No question on that.. and i believe he's the only one who could stand up to O in a debate..

Problem is.. While we care about this and look at the "in depth" stuff.. The average American just does NOT get it, or frankly care that much.. Here's an example..hard to say.. I have three daughter-n-laws.. (most of you know them as daughters..fact is they adopted me, i am a REAL lucky man) OK..All three are College graduates, and honestly great people..

That being said, for the most part clueless on what the real issues are, and what the candidates stand for.. I have one son-n-law who could debate politics with any of our group this is the hunter..balance of the group always leave Gloria and i shaking our heads..

They neither know, or really care..THEY.. are the average voter ..hate to say this, but i believe it to be true.. Pretty much mindless to the real issue, this is todays reality. the average voter might "sorta" know about the politics of conservatism visa vise liberalism...

Be this an issue of age, the non educating schools, or maybe just the lack of "glam" of politics compared to Youtube... Relevant point here is that any one who can even tell you what primary is next or what party it's for is hard to find.. Really hard to grasp this, but our membership does not reflect the average intel of our younger voter.. We see the "occupy group" and assume that this age group cares. as miss guided as they are i love this group..least they KNOW what their doing..

The news is NOT watched by 75% of America.. The 10 sec sound bite is what decisions are made on.. i sounds negative, and wish (no honestly HOPE) my facts are wrong here, but afraid the decisions made across the country (least in the general election) are not based on the logic you guys use..
