Bloomberg, like so many, is confused. He assumes a priori that Islam is simply a religion like Judaism and Christianity, and thus that it can fit easily into the American civic framework the way Judaism and Christianity do. He seems to have no idea whatsoever of the political and supremacist aspects of Islamic teaching, and no awareness of the fact that the Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf of the Cordoba Initiative is an open proponent of bringing Sharia -- a political system that would deny the freedom of speech and freedom of conscience, and restrict the rights of women and non-Muslims -- to the United States.

In his fiercest defense yet of the mosque proposed near Ground Zero, Mayor Bloomberg declared yesterday that it must be allowed to proceed because the government "shouldn't be in the business of picking" one religion over another.
"I think it's fair to say if somebody was going to try, on that piece of property, to build a church or a synagogue, nobody would be yelling and screaming," the mayor said.
"And the fact of the matter is that Muslims have a right to do it, too."...
"What is great about America and particularly New York is we welcome everybody, and if we are so afraid of something like this, what does that say about us?" asked the mayor.
"Democracy is stronger than this. You know the ability to practice your religion was one of the real reasons America was founded. And for us to just say no is just, I think, not appropriate is a nice way to phrase it
". . . If you are religious, you do not want the government picking religions, because what do you do the day they don't pick yours?"...

with this, in my opinion is, the other religions, the other groups,
the other people have earned the right to become part of our country.
To this day: MUSLIMS, Sharia, Islam is not and has never been
compatible to our way of life and our freedoms. It never will be as
long as it is hijacked by fanatics. I wish we would just see Islam for
what it is...a sham of a religion, a copycat of Christianity and a detriment
to the world at large. If / When it becomes the dominant religion in the US,
hopefully the first people to see the results will be people like Bloomberg
and everyone else who kowtows to these bastards.

idiots like Bloomberg will need to seek out protection from
people like those on this site...wouldn't that be great. Think
of it...we are all engaged in a battle against these assholes,
then a group of refugees including bloomberg, arrive at our
compound looking to come in...we allow him and his followers
in but on one condition, then we lay out the rules to him and
his and basically make them cleanup, make meals and tend
to our compound...haha

The religions (as they say) that are accepted in this country, no matter how long they have been here, sanctify life and do not condone killing to try to eliminate others. Needless to say Muslim Extremists should not be allowed to stay here, period!

How Islam evolves based on the percentage of Muslims in the nation.. ie higher percentage equates to more radicalism..
I had one issue with the post, in that I'm not sure it dealt with the economics of the issue.. I'm not sure that a nation that was more developed economically would be become radicalized as fast as a third world nation.. Never the less the post itself seemed to be an accurate depiction of what happens when the percentage of Muslims increase.. Also scary as the birth rate is so high in Islam that it insures a Muslim majority.. scary stuff..
