I just picked a 1964 python 4" at the gun show. It has hogue grips. I am considering wood 2nd gen grips or pearl. I love the handling and was trained with the wheel gun. I like colt commander LW but I just always wanted a python.

I went with 2nd generation wood grips. Also my python is a 1963 model not a 1964 like I thought.

Excelent, and since they dont make them anymore the value will only go up. Greasypaws the only quote that im aware of is Pattons. A reporter called his Ivory griped piece pearl, and belive he said something like you posted.

a man has to hold his word, hold his beliefs, and hold a good sight picture.
