1964 python

I just picked a 1964 python 4" at the gun show. It has hogue grips. I am considering wood 2nd gen grips or pearl. I love the handling and was trained with the wheel gun. I like colt commander LW but I just always wanted a python.

Grips

I went with 2nd generation wood grips. Also my python is a 1963 model not a 1964 like I thought.

Much less.. Ok.. just a quick correction in case someone we want to join swings by and see's this incorrect post.. gets upset that were so stupid, calls 911 to report it.. The news picks this up and the YouTube video goes viral, and his daughter can't stand the embarrassment and leaves home to become a nun, and the wife gets so upset about this that she shoots the husband, and the husband winds up in the hospital needing prayers, so they call the daughter..

I think i got lost somewhere around having mom check me, and fucking runs truck.. let me correct the story..

It was neither Eisenhower, or Churchill.. it was Patton.. General George carried two side arms at all times.. These were "adorned" with Ivory stocks.. a reporter once stated they were Pear..

Good General George told the reporter that only Pimps wore Pear handled weapons and gentleman preferred Ivory..

Sad ain't it...

Patton carried a Colt 45 LC and an S&W 357 Magnum....

Greg great catch !!

*PATTON'S* response to a reporter when asked if he "Really carried a pearl handled pistol"?

"They're IVORY. The only man who would carry a pearl handled pistol, is a PIMP in a New Orleans whorehouse".

No sir, he fell into that bullet... Never argue with a stupid person. They'll just drag you down to their level and beat you with experience!!

beautiful colt

Excelent, and since they dont make them anymore the value will only go up. Greasypaws the only quote that im aware of is Pattons. A reporter called his Ivory griped piece pearl, and belive he said something like you posted.
