Interesting that Colt and Remington have made their 1911 more 1911 than 1911A1. Notice the long trigger and the mainspring housing.
Thanks. Yes, Colt makes different models. Most of their "series 70" have a short trigger and a arched mainspring housing and they don't have a lowered and flared ejection port. However, this "series 70" is a special run that has a mixture of other features.
Yeah, I like the series 70 pistols.
Me too SJMB. I never cottoned to front slide serrations like on the xse line. And not having the fireing pin block is nice.
So, I went to the range today at lunch, to try this puppy out. Put 200 rounds through her and no issues what so ever and shoots real sweet. But the most interesting thing I saw, was a woman who brought her daughter, looked to be about 9 or 10, and was teaching her to shoot. She was doing a darn good job too with a .22. I've seen fathers bring sons and fathers bring daughters, but that's the first time I had seen a mother bring her daughter. And I thought that was just cool.
Mom of the year!
little accountant type weighing in at 122 soaking wet and he dare not get in the way of the tv when football is on, better not let the beer supply run out and when range day comes around he'd better have dinner on the table when she and daughter get home from mangling paper :<))
Closest I ever came to having a gal like that was a school teacher I dated, she loved shooting and saved her used targets to brag to her lib teacher friends.
I don't know if she's single or not. If I see her again I'll check for you. Ya, that would be nice to have a wife that did that. If she is married, hopefully her husband knows what he has.
you to Daisy..
Whats up with ya all.. Think i saw Saint on.. Jim whats the latest with the boy, things still good or what.. so serious whats going on out there with you guys.. see that Lop buddy of ours Vaq is sitting the bench right now.. proly fell asleep in the truck watching his contractors work..

holster, hidden under your shirt tail? :<)
What's going on with G's thyroid???
Dang, I we hope it's not serious!
Stella's liver biopsy results came in, "fatty liver", whatever that means.
Dr seems to think he can fix it with an office visit.(?)
Weather has turned to PERFECT here, the heat and dry conditions cause early leaf drop from the trees so I've been raking them trying to stay ahead.
What's the decision on shooting the Webley? G-Kid's been burning up my brick of .22 in my rifles and his little Daisy .22,
2 days ago he bagged a Armadillo using my 16GA. The kid is doin' good!
just got the look.. yep WAY pw'd but have to go.. pm to you.. the test should be ok.. shes got pills to calm before.. later.. yep im racing.
How you all doing?
Greg, still here, lurking. Just squeezing in a post or two while working. Kid went in yesterday to have wound vac changed and looked over. The hospital didn't have the supplies(?) and said Dr.s office should have sent it over. So Jason has no wound vac right now. Packed wound with gauze for now and changing it out regular. Wife called today to "straighten" things out. I feel sorry for the poor SOB on the other end of the line. She's a firecracker. Anyway, looks like she did the job and they're going to fix it all tomorrow. She bumped up the time for the next surgery and I think everything is looking good so far.
Sorry to hear about Gloria. Prayers coming from here. Let us know how it goes.
Vaq, good to hear you're staying awake. I wouldn't want you to fall asleep in the NM summer sun.
On a forum is like keeping up with a 3 year old at wally world.
better than that!
Stella's Ex-Sister-in-Law is coming for a week starting Friday, hummmm. I know they are really good friends but...a whole week ;<(
I just got orders from head quarters, be back in a bit.
