I think as sad as it is to say that this country is too much a nation of cowards. While everyone talks alot of game, the government will peel a layer at a time of our rights until we realize we have no rights left. I don't know that many people will do anything ever about any of this other than talk.
I can see the difficulty for those of us with children not wanting to risk them, but for those without families there should not be anything stopping them from making the changes necessary and if necessary fighting for what they believe.
I see the high capacity pistols going with assault rifles first and then all handguns next. After that only hunting and farming weapons with permits will be allowed... Then no weapons unless you have a special license and pay special taxes. Then.... No guns unless you know someone to get the permit at all, or can pay an insane amount of money to buy a license or SOT...
Best Regards

They won't be coming for the actual guns anyway. They'll continue to legislate (read "infringe") things like access to ammo, registration, sales, etc. Even if they do come for your guns they won't do it in a massive wave of confiscation. They'll pass laws that reward nosey neighbors for turning you in to the authorities. They'll threaten your access to health care and other services or your ability to earn a living if caught with a fire arm. These approaches have been very succesful in Europe and Australia. I think you might be surprised at how many "law abiding" American citizens would give up their guns to stay "law abiding".
i'm tickeled by those worried about confiscation who are buying new pieces thru FFL's. If your worried about gov. confiscation, why would you think the FFL wouldn't be the GPS tracker? I don't honestly see that happening as the left is a bit slicker. Beau is correct here it will probabley be based on ammo manufacturing. I would think this would be a good time to get into reloading.. USED reloading stuff obviously.. I don't want to sound like one of those guys who lines thier caps with tin foil, but if you don't think the gov. would check records on who's buying reloading gear as well as FFl's your as wrong as my spelling.
a man has to hold his word, hold his beliefs, and hold a good sight picture.
However, they will probably start with all us "anti-government" types who post on sites just like our beloved GUNSLOT! How did we, the patriotic, law abiding gunowners of America, get labeled Anti anything but liberal?!!
when you buy ammo and reloading stuff and any other gun stuff, buy with cash because if you dont have to show ID for anything there isnt any way to track who bought what with cash.but if you use a credit card or debit card "they"know who bought what.I always pay cash anyway so i am exempt from this.

Your looking at more than half this nation armed. At one point on 60 million guns owners now more like 130 million. try to take them if you dare.
