Concealed carry options

Concealed carry options

What is your preferred carry gun and holster? Mine for the most part is the M&P .40c iwb. I just got the sneaky Pete for the PPK/S. The Sneaky Pete solves a lot of problems and is comfortable all day long. So, what is everyone else carrying these days?

.25 is incredibly reliable, I have never had a FTF or FTE with it. But the saying is, for a .25, if you shoot somebody with it, and they find out about it, they're gonna be pissed!

I haven't been carrying the 1911 for awhile due to feeding problems. I changed mags but it would still have problems every so often. So I just put in a new 18lb recoil spring. Took it out and put several mags through it to test it. Worked without fail. So now I think I can put it back in the rotation.

I would carry a Browning Hipower. Gave it to my youngest son, he carries it now. I have been wanting a 1911, Remington 1911 or the new Ruger 1911, both are high priced, and the ammo is still stupid high.

I have photos of my guns in my pictures, haven't figured out how to post using an iPad yet.

It's a bit bulky and, in the summer time, it's hard to work it out without printing, but I like it and haven't gotten a compact yet.

Yeah, I love that thing. It's well broke in now and it's as good as you can want from a sidearm. When I first got it, I thought it was a POS. My first outing with it, the rounds were all over. I should have cleaned it first. I was too excited. But after I cleaned it and got the first 100 or so rounds through, it has been a dream.

I did have one issue once. One time I didn't clean it after a range session and the next time I took it out, the slide wouldn't lock back on an empty mag. I could hold it open manually with the slide stop, but it wouldn't just with rack the slide on an empty mag or when I emptied a mag.

But I got home and cleaned it and all was good. It was weird. It shouldn't be that touchy, IMO. Still, I love that pistol.

Did you have trouble with the recoil spring. Even with white box, I would get slide slap and failure to feed. The new one doesn't have that problem. I wonder if mine came with a competition spring for low power rounds.

I can go from .380 to 9mm to .40 to .45, on the hip in the exact same position, and use the same
draw-extend and flip safety process for each. [always with two mags on the other hip] The trainers call that transfer of training/practice.

Thinking about this for the wife. The 1911 STX. Which models do you have Max and LLE?

W1911U-45-BSS, and 1911 Ultra Compact,45,NITRON,SLITE. Nitron is a nice soft (no shine) black.

I later, added a Crimson Trace, very nicely fitted [Laser grip], since wife prefers that on her semies.
