I use mostly Remington Golden Bullet Plated Round Nose in 40-gr, or Remington Golden Bullet 36 gr Hollow Points. And CCI Mini Mags Copper Plated Round Nose.
I heard that Wolf Ammo leaves residue in the barrel and the residue can cause bullets to stove pipe or other harmful things to the shooter or the gun.
Snake, very few rimfire cartriges are "clean burning".
as pointed out in a seperate topic, .22 ammo has to work in damn near anything.
pistol, rifle, semi-auto, single shot, bolt, revolver.
It is "one size fits all" ammo. Clean the damn gun no matter what you are running through it.
P.S. unless you are killing varmints or match shooting, buy what is on sale. If you can tell the difference, you are truly a rifleman.
The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth!
I got a little long winded.
The cheap remmies and feds shoot just as fast, hit just as hard, and pretty much the same place as any thing else.
Seriously, hyper velocity or whatever they call a fast .22 bullet today will leave lead deposits in your barrell. That copper plating is thinner than the first page of Exodus. Clean it!
The truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth!
Excellent!
Buy cheap ass ammo, a couple hundred rounds of anything between cleanings is not gonna hurt anything, especially with a warm to hot barrell. Let 'er rip!

I'm just another damn yankee with a loaded gun looking for some fun!
quite nasty on this here forum to some of my good friends here for what I thought were very stupid reasons, and I see no reason not to return the favor. I am very loyal to those I respect and who have shown me respect, but I also suffer fools loudly. That about covers it.

I clean it every time I am done shooting. No worries. Its cleaner than a docs hands before surgery.
