From the Fox News affiliate in Dallas comes word that one Marine veteran's bumper stickers are under attack by his homeowners association as prohibited "advertising":
Otherwise, the homeowners association for The Woodlands II on The Creek --- where Larimore has lived for eight years --- says in a letter it will tow the car at Larimore's expense. The board also threatens to fine him $50 for any future incident.
Larimore says the decals, ranging from the Marine emblem to Semper Fi slogans, aren't advertisements for anything. "You can't buy freedom," he reasoned.
The Woodlands II on the Creek Homeowners Association versus a lone Marine. The assweasels at this HOA better start praying for reinforcements because right now they're outnumbered.
Oh, and Bethany at The Eleventy Billionth Blog has contact information, just in case you'd like to share your thoughts with the aforementioned assweasels.

If you sign a contract, aren't you agreeing to abide by a certain set of rules? If you don't like being told what you can and can't do in your neighborhood, don't live in one of the places. Just a thought.

your a plumber working for joes plumbing and one of your benefits is you get to drive the company truck home at night.
But the truck says joes plumbing ,so now you are in violation, what are you gonna do?Not grive the truck home?park somewhere else?
What if you went and bought a brand new corvette from jackshit auto and jackshit put a cool dayglo sticker on the vette ass end saying "jackshit auto"? you are now in violation of the HOA rules again and could your vette really say Corvette on it or chevy?
Do the board members live onsite and have vehicals saying Dodge,Ford? Are they in violation of their own rules?
Does it sound like i have personal experience here?i did and i beat their ass with photos of their own cars.

I can't understand why someone would want to live
a place like this. I like being able to piss in my
front yard if I want to.

been discriminated against for being in the service? I was in San Antonio Tx, they wanted me, in uniform to ride on the back of the city bus. Well we just had the dandiest of fights and I sat in the front where I belonged.

I have never been discriminated against. I'm waiting for one of these wannabe hippies to call me "baby killer" as if it were the '60s again. But alas, nobody has yet approached me in a negative manner.

i was renting, some projects i get run about 1 to 2 years in duration so i rent a townhouse so i don't gotta upkeep the sucker, never had a problem until this jagoff got all butt hurt over my construction truck having the company logo on the doors=after i had been there 6 months.
The jagoff was a newly appointed member of the board and was flexing his muscle.
Now i get a new company truck every 80,000 miles so they are clean white 2500 chevys with 4 wheel drive and a topper.Thats one of my perks so if i do a job in Florida,i drive the truck,so it's the only vehical i have there, etc, etc.
So there were about 8 trucks affected with business logos on them, including one boardmember...
T make a long story short, the photos convinced them to rewrite the regulation.

and that the officers of this association are just being assholes. They could just as well 'interpret' differently.
