At least you have her out with it.
The aim will come.
Daughter has been drawing "peace" signs alot lately (10 yo girl thing?), I figure the best way to combat that is plenty of trips to the desert.......She is still apprehensive of the rifles, I have explained that they really don't kick much but she still thinks otherwise..lol
Great to see you out with your daughter.
we had a great time, we shot a "shitload" of ammo.
past the toughest part...my daughter won't even touch a gun!
all day long but is apprehensive about shooting my AR...HUH? I just
can't convince her that it has very little recoil.
Nice job with the young lady. You might try to shoot your AR with one hand to show her the minimal recoil...
If not, it is ok for her to only shoot pistols. It is a pistol that she will be carrying for CW.
my ol' lady was the same way.she would shoot my .40 s&w all day long, had a hard time getting her to shoot the sks,now I almost have to beg her to give it back, gunna have to get her one of her own
Yep!, she's HOOKED!! Good girl, get the basics down then, she can (work) this ain't work!
Then she can have fun hiting all the stuff that needs some lead!
Hampster, Lil Brother, lean in a little closer,____ lil bit colser, buy her a "PINK"!!!! .22 She'll go Ape SHYTE!! over the damn thing, and tell all her friends about what, "DADDY BOUGHT IT 4 ME" !!!!!!
Her friends will ask their dad's, Where's Mine??
GOOD to see our youth getting to a closer nit Family.
Brings tears to my eyes, gotta go get some snot paper!
I dragged home my .357 mag revolver from the gun show on
Sunday and the first thing out of her mouth is "oh, I want to
shoot it"........Dear, maybe with 38spl loads, not with Magnums
And she is afraid of th AR....LOL
If she likes shooting the 9mm,maybe get her, hate to say it,but a high point carbine,I know its the ''H'' word, but they are cheap and I think she might like it.My boy loves the shit out of his.just a thuoght
got one picked out...
You are gonna start a war, when she shows a pink gun to her friends. Some mothers may
Good goi'n Dad!
He's right about the pink .22's, the little gun store in Wickenburg carries them, and can't keep them in stock.. Thinking those of you who take your kids shooting are giving them the best gift in the world.. Time with Pop, and reliance on themselves..
We've raised a whole generation of "call 911'rs" and its sad..I'm pretty sure that a kid that shoots, boy or girl, is less likely to be afraid of lifes challenges. I'm not aware of any studies on this, but common since would sorta dictate that a kid who is comfortable shooting is more self reliant, and guessing more likely to lead as opposed to follow, and less likely to get involved with the sort of things that "followers" do..
Maybe im deceiving myself here, but i don't think so.. Think about the personalities of those who spend time with Dad, and real world things.. Be they guns, fishing, building, bank robing.. ok maybe not the bank thing.. but you get my drift..
Laughing.. Just read metcalfs quote.. great!
some of those mom's appear to be of the liberal persuasion, so I
instruct daughter to keep gun talk on the "down low"......Me, I don't
give a shit what they think but I think it unfair for a 10 yo girl to be
discriminated against due to the subject of guns.
Who Gives a Damn what a lib wants? They on the other hand will tell you what they think.
I am speaking out of turn! Meaning it's none of my bidness.
Let that Girl have the reins on this one, let her show this rifle off, she's gonna be so proud of it.
Kinda like a PRESSURE COOKER, let her vent, so she don't EXPLODE :)
We have three remember.. Man are they hard on there own gender... and that age is where it starts to get bad.. When shes older it will be ok, and of course ALWAYS ok with the boys... laughing... you starting to shake yet... you have that ALL in front of ya.. It works out ok.. Not a lot of involvement till she's dating then you scare the shit out of the boy.. All will be great, and both will respect you for it... I've got to go, but you gave me an idea for a post later.. Think i might call it... "Being scared of the Girls Dad".. or something like that..
give her pink Gunlots shirt
besides my daughter can't keep anything to herself......telephone,
telegraph, tell Cheyenne.....LOL!
Beautiful day here.
Sun, breeze, 80 degrees.
I wanna go shoot!
whats up.always wanna go shoot
bout the same here, I wanna go shoot my new pistol also, maybe after work.
This is the 1st sunshine I've seen since thursday. I guess I'll wait till sat to shoot.

I think I'm gonna go hog huntin this weekend, maybe get lucky and get me a hogzilla
Is really nice, I like it there in the summer.
heading in, we will go from a high of 76 today to 46 friday and rain.
Saturday looks like shit also, no shooting this weekend for me.
I hate spring in the mountain desert...LOL
IT is really nice.I love the mountains year round.huntin and fishin in the spring and summer, huntin and snowmobiles in the winter
Yep, get set up to reload.
Makes the nasty days more tolerable and the shootin days more rewarding!
send some of that shit this way,we can use it .they are getting ready to shut down the forest already and its still early in the year
Be carefull with the hogs.
The litters are up and runnin and the sows are dangerous!
yeah,I know a couple of guys that went about a week ago,one with a rifle and a back up,and one with a bow ,no backup.the one with the bow took a shot and missed.pissed that hog off,and started chasing him.the guy with the rifle had to save his ass lol
On the rifle AND the backup!
with a bow and no back up is recipe for disaster IMHO
I gotta go guys, talk at ya tomorrow.I have to take the ASVAB test, trying to get into the national gaurd
Ace the sumbitch!
Goin rambo on hogs aint too bright. I consider it a team sport and take as much sport as I can out of the equation.
there are ten you don't.
What are you doing in Alamogordo? I went to school there...Solar Analyst School at Holloman AFB. I had a great time out there!
