Devastator Ammo - Has anyone used this?

I never used them but John Hinckley fired 6 .22 Devastators at Reagan who caught one that ricocheted off a limo.

They might work real well, but in a civil case, the prosecutor will bring in the package and show the skull and cross bones. It make an impression on a jury that you the shooter have an aggressive bullet chambered in your weapon that you tactically employed to kill the defendent and take him away from his family. I am just thinking out loud here.

I might not understand the law correctly, but I think in a civil case you can be right and still loose. Look at OJ Simpson. He was deemed not guilty and still lost the civil case.

Perhaps I can get a lesson in civics tonight from a resident attorney, or one of you "old timers".

"They" say you should use standard 'self defense' ammo because if you use FMJ there's a chance of pass thru walls, etc. and putting someone else at risk. So if you do use FMJ the prosecutor will get you for that. yet self-defense ammo is hollow point which is designed to cause more massive devastation, though it might not pass thru as easily. Seems like your damned if you do, damned if you don't.

But .22 caliber defense ammo? Would you really trust that to do the job?

The skull and crossbones on the label might well lose the civil case for you. So can HP ammo, in some cases. Depends on the jury. That's why it's important that your attorney secures the services of an excellent, recognized "expert witness" who can expose the inflammatory rhetoric by the opposing attorney in an unemotional, professional manner.

I have lots a property so if your forced to use ammo they deem to deadly just give your local hillbilly a call and we can feed some yotes.

I wonder how well it feeds.....as long as you have some sort of castle docterine you should be fine law wise....but you are never safe from civil suites...

The best strategy for protecting yourself against civil suits in a self defense/ home defense case is to become well versed in state gun laws including local city and or county ordinances. Also I have been schooled by trusted friends in the law enforcement community that you should find out what type of ammunition is the standard loadout for local police and arm yourself with that. Point being in the event of a civil suit and an attorney claiming that your using an aggresive load you will have yourself a trump card essentialy putting you in line with local law enforcement and thusly shooting the afore mentioned attorneys argument full of holes (pun intended). Thats my two cents hope this helps to dispel any concerns regarding this topic.

Can you guess how many NRA members will be on the jury if you are in a criminal or civil trial for a self defense shooting as opposed to how many liberals who never touched a gun before?
Be very sure there is no other option for you before you shoot someone in self defense, unless of course if you live in one of those states where people have common sense and don't coddle criminals

I live in a state where one of my driver's sister was tracked by gps , stalked and shot 12 times by an ex-boyfriend from British Colombia, he did all this in Illinois cause he knew he would'nt get the death penalty. hE PLEAD GUILTY FROM DAY ONE.
