Dutch--I am holding him, purebred, Himalayan so black, looks blue at times, Hunting cat bred.

Dutch- in the picture is 2 yrs and now hitting prime w/hunting. Got him purebred from rare cat farm in Georgia. Wife loved Himalayans and the ones that have the two colors. Had 2 fro 20 years named Ike & spike. Now It was my turn to pick one for me. That is Dutch, he will likely top out at 6 years old and is 3 now at 28lbs. Where I go he goes around house and in truck. Will wander while shooting on farm and come backwith a couple of squirrels so far, could not figure out how to get an armadillo though when it rolled up. But I think would have sat there all day, patient as hell. Natural hunter at night with green eyes. Sometimes when better half is out, I sit on porch and leave door open. Came back and drops off a snake, look like a king snake. Got a opossum, brought him back. Had to clean him up fast though so wife does not see. She has his runt brother w/white stripe and would have died in wild. But guy gave it to her when bought Dutch. I know a lot of people do not like cats, but this guy is a replica of me when I was young. I love him. John---PS--Dutch on left & Butch on right

Yes, my friend. A lot of guys hate cats for some reason, I do ot know why. I have always admired their stealth qualities and the way they bring you something back, and loyalty. This is the second pair of Himalayians, my wife and I have had. The first two were brothers too and big, but were the most dominate color of like tan and the points of chocalate and whatever they are. Just a way of saying the tips color of their paws and ears etc, like Lilac and so forth. Those guys we named Ike and Spike. I raised them to be as ferioucious as you can be. But my wife would cuddle them when at work or whatever. they actually knew their names and responded and fetched like a dog and did everything around the house we did.. Ike was the coolest, the Vet called him Mr.Ike, because he went 281/2 lbs and fit, no blubber. He would lay on a mat on the kitchen floor and if a strager walked in like a real estate lady once did and said. What a beautiful cat! and went to pet him, and before I could warn her he had her arm in his biting away, funny as hell and lady took it good though, after I called him off, and explained it is my fault and all that stuff and gave her fifty bucks and whatever. They lived to 18years for Ike and that was because he had Lymes disease somehow, some where, never let them out really. But put him down and 3 months later spike just would not eat or drink and even on an IV Vet said he does not want to live. So put him down too. You might think this is queer, but they were just like family to me and wife. After a couple of years a friend called and said he has a couple of , well one for sure big guy so pure and black and from real wild stock, that I took a ride to Geogia. Wife said No, but went with me and soon as I saw him, forget it, The name Dutch came into my head right away from the movie with Arnold Shwar & Predator with this huge 6week old kitten. So black, in some light looks blue, and White lips, supposedly because of snow in Himalayas so at night it blends and don't burn during sun in day. But who knows and who cares, I was sold, and then turn around and wife has this little guy, runt of the liter about half the size of Dutch, with white mixed in and says, I am taking Butch home with me then. Why Butch, I don't care, thats cool. Now they are going on 3 and Butch is getting bigger but Dutch is solid as a rock and will grow untill 7, well so will Butch. It is a great breed and a lot of fun and loyalty. But a lot of guys hate them for some reason. I am glad you don't. Thanks, Keep me posted on yours. John

Cats

I like cats. I cant keep a dog here for the reason it always tears up the garden lol. Right now with my dads house and granny's house combined there are a total of 10

Sara,Shadow,Rabbit,Weasle,Fuzz Ball,Sylvester,Fuzz,Tinker,Slick,and Tiger Stripes.
I named Tiger Stripes after the vietnam Camo Pattern worn by the U.S.

I did not want 10 cats but mom wont get rid of them so I just go along with it. And plus I have not seen a mouse in 6 years down here at home lol.

Nice cats John.

Snake, I know a lot of guys o not like them for some reason or another and treat them like vermin. But a cat actually saved my life in war, and I do not want to make a big deal about this because I always liked them and thought they were the ultimate predator, and always had a couple as a kid, and father loved them too. He swore they new your moods and when you were down and stuff. But I was in a sp-ops that took orders from one man and then if caught, no one knew or would take responsabilitity for us few. We were ordered to take out a guy that totured our men and hid in cambodia, which we were not allowed in. He also wore grease face paint if Lbc ever heard of him. We crossed and cat showed up and ran ahead and stopped. I stopped and the rest stopped. we were about 25 feet from 200 nv's and they walked right by, cat never moved till they got out of site. we brought him back with us and fed him for 6 months and left him with a kid on a farm. Hope he lived for a while. I love my cats and hate people who hurt them for no reason. Your a good man snake. John

Jerry, you if I can be so bold to call you by first name, should have given him some space and folowed and guaranteed some game would have been in reach for you, maybe not him. But I am glad to hear you are a cat guy and they do not bother you. I used to read a lot as a kid because no tv and father was a brilliant man and always doing something for Government. But I could never figure why in some centurys and countrys they persecuted cats and dogs and still do, as evil, and use as food. I do not know where or if you did a.i.t when you went in after boot camp, but my brother and I went to germany, where they taught us at that time everything from missiles to mines to running rock crushers and d-9's bull dozers, but outside the base was a hotdog stand and we thought sold balogna sandwhiches, untill we found 3 dogs chained and 8 butchered, that day the dogs were watered and fed and a D-9 bulldozer went out of control and leveled the poor germans little hot dog stand, and what was left was pushed down a mountain about 3 miles. What a shame huh Jerry! John Our CO asked in roll call who was on D-9's we stepped forward and he winked. that's all men
