I can't find the post now..but you know which one im talking about, you asked what the Y was.. Im 99% sure that its a Yost.. think the guys name in Ted Yost.. im close anyway.. He did small lot 1911's custom stuff back in the late 80's thru 90's then when all the big compansy (kimber etc.) got involved he sorta disapeared, im guessing some of the other old timers might remember him, and help with the correct name...im pretty sure im close..
a man has to hold his word, hold his beliefs, and hold a good sight picture.
When mike posted that i was blank for a bit (gosh that never happens) then when i got the name i still wasn't sure i had it right. great that he's still doing business, a lot of those early custom guys bit the dust when the major companies got involved in custom 1911's..

No Problem Greg Az. He is doing quite well apparently, because I got on the website to inquire about sending a Colt in to him and there is a 6 month waiting period. Well, I'm hitting the bed, Goodnight!

Greg Az, Ted Yost is still around. I'm pretty sure he works for Heirloom Precision now and still does some of the best custom 1911 work.
