I hate winter but love the view sometimes. Where is LBC and his snow plow when you need them?
Hang tight guys, more to follow. The drive back to "work" was not the usual.
Started running when I stopped the truck. Lousy pic. (yep, greg can give me hell for the blurry pic)
than we do (don't hurt my feelings) I'm driving my STI with summer rubber to work this week it's so nice.......Global warming I bet, lets see what the Lib's cite as the cause......
As usual, they didn'y much care if I stopped or kept driving.
than here to.Bush did it.
I don't get excited too often but this is special! I've read and been told of these elk. They got lost during migration back in the 60's. A handfull wound up in the TX panhandle and have multiplied and spread out. Today was the day I saw some of them with my own eyes! No closed season because they are not native. I struggled for a moment but grabbed the camera instead of a gun!
What area were the Antelope in? When I've stopped they take off like a shot
Hwy. 23, south of Booker, TX. toward US 83.
wheres da 3006 hehe
First ime I've seen snow and a dino together!
I did have to drive too! In a freaking blizzard no less!
My snowboarding 'offspring' are not happy (but I am...LOL)
Those elk look like dinner to me. SO you are saying that because the elk are alien to Texas, they are treated as "feral" and there is no limit or season?
Yes. A hunting license and landowner permission are all that is required, year 'round. Like hogs or rabbits. 600lb+ of choice elk meat! No tags.
I'll call you when I get there...
Don't wake the environmentalists!
Great pics. Were these all along the way? Or was this on different trips? Seeing all that would almost make driving through that white shit worth it.
All today. Within 50 miles of first to last. Suck ass conditions with a hell of a view!
Well, I'd be cursing my luck for the white hell, but thanking God for blessing me with such luck on the sightings. The elk would be mighty tempting.
You understand. 'nuff said.
been a while since I've seen that Dinosaur and I have never seen it with snow until now. As for the rest of the pics, WOW.
Good to hear from you. NE panhandle got hiyt again with snow today! (dammit)
Yall get any over at Amarillo?
Where in Texas are you?
Raised in Gruver.
Dunno why I think I've seen that sucker... Too many road trips in too many states I guess..
We got some flurries today but not enough to do anything. If a vehicle was parked right and hadn't been driven in a while it kind of looked like Ice on top of their vehicle. Going to Guymon, OK this weekend and I WILL be shooting the new 1911 and my PT 709 snow or not.
Where do you shoot in Guymon? Is it a match? I May just mosey over there and join ya.
But plans have changed now. Will be finding a place in Amarillo due to family members being sick.
Just as well. Weather calls for freezing till Monday. Hope your family members get well soon.
If you go to Guymon and don't mind some company let me know. I'll be here except for next weekend.
I'm over by Perryton, TX.
In the summer I go to Gruver a lot and my family has a lot of land there. I always go plinking or hunting. Prarrie Dogs, rabbits, cans, or actual target practice in the summer time. Will definately let you know then.
No telling where I may be by summer. Look to finish up here first week of March, give or take.
Might be near though. We have a lot of work going on between Guymon and Dumas.
Will hit you up when I figure it out.
I'm 'bout bored to death here lately. Cabin fever I guess.
