I just bought some Hornady "Critical Defence" Hornady clames 100% relibility in expansion. See the advertisments about this round. Penatrates heavy winter clothing with out plugging the cavity, and expands when it hits soft tissue. 9mm 115 Gr. bullet. 1140 fps. at the muzzle, 1030fps. at 50 yards.
is its customer service automated message. Try calling them sometime. Funny shit.

Hello everbody, don't get over here much anymore. Getting too damn busy. Anyway, I run this stuff in my .45 and .40. I like it, too expensive to shoot much but haven't had any complaints so far.

I like Hydra-Shok in .45 & .380 very well. Like Lyle, I'm also going to try some Hornady Critical Defense, since it's had very good write-ups (although I don't believe everything the gun magazines say).
If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. This is the principal difference between a dog and a man. (Mark Twain).
Done my own test on both the Federal and Hornady CD......Hornady was my choice! Good Luck Finding some though, I think Midway Has some right now.
