My daughter opens a drawer in my workshop this week and look what was waiting inside. (Just a 4' Texas rat snake thank goodness). Dang I hate snakes why they have to do crap like this. He no longer resides with us.
If that would have been my drawer, there would be a bullethole in the bottom of it! But that is just me...
god i hate snakes
we find these kind of snake everywhere in texas. but to find one in a drawer like this would sure give ryo the willies. that not happen so very often neh.
there would be a bullet hole in the drawer bottom for sure.
the snake probably smelled another animal in that specific room, like a pet or something, and it wouldnt hurt to keep telling your daughter to not touch snakes, sometimes, its hard to tell if they are venomous or not.
North Central Texas had a bad field mice outbreak this past winter. Only thing I can think of is he was just searching for mice when the damn humans came around. Whole thing was pretty comical. After calming my 13 year old, we tried some bb's (just pissed him off), then shot him with her toy bow and arrow, drug him out in the open and chopped the old head off. (No doubt - My P95 would have been easier). Yes I know these are good snakes, but no snakies allowed in the mancave . A post apology to all the reptile fans.
in my toolbox drawer there would be multiple holes from 12 gauge shotshells in that drawer!
awww poor snake. that kind snake is friend and harmless. he eat only rat and mice and the like. it not poison and not dangerous either. ryo have see very many of them too. yes, look little bit like diamondback rattler except it wrong color and like john wayne say in movie, "...you can see a hundred of those and when you see your first rattler, you'll know the difference." but it still good to teach lesson to your daughter to alway be careful around something you don't know, like a snake you've never see before.
