What are you red dot'n?
Guys are using the red dots for turkey guns. Might try it.
I like the Bushnell Holl sites. I will get one for my AR (.223) when I have some spare cash

Great for 3 gun matches and run and gun matches. I have a pic up with a red dot on my AR for a little while. I like a dot for 100 yds of less. Anything beyond that I like a 2.8x-10x scope to see better. I'm getting older too. LOL

Not to bad if you have a 4 MOA or smaller dot. 4 MOA will shoot a 4 MOA group @ 100. We had targets that were smaller than 4 MOA sometime @ 100. Plus, I like to see my hits when I was shooting in match. Have you ever seen a 3 gun matchs? A lot of fun and you have to be accurate and fast. I did better with 2.8x-10x-44mm scope I have on my AR. I shot 3 gun and run @ gun matches for 8 yrs.

No, it does not give you away. The Red dot I use and the one they are showing the only person that see the dot is you the shooter. The Red Dot is only on inside the scope, you can put you hand in front of it and there is nothing. Shot with them for 8 yrs. and would not use a sight that would give you away.
