That is an impressive rifle, no matter who many times I see it. However, I still don't understand two things in the picture.
One: Anyone know how hard it would be to shot it without some backing? The kick is big on those Barretts, even it the suppressor tip.
Two: Why the hell does this guy have a PEQ-2 on his Sniper rifle?

the program on the Outdoor channel, when Barrett invited a group of women to their orientation class and shooting out to 1000 yards. Not one of them complained about the recoil, and they were busting the centers out of the targets.

Certain units shot the Barrett...the sniper platoons and such. Your average Marine goes to the range to qualify on his M16 or M9 only. Just most f us have other weapons for civilian life.

Civi? or military? In the Military I would never touch that weapon. I have used the M16/M4, M9, Glock-19, M203, MK19, 249SAW, 240G, AT4-9mm Tracer practice dummy, Our Shotgun. Other then that...I haven't touched and I can guarantee I won't. It is not a choice for Marines for when they go to the range or what weapon we use.

Barrett M82A1 or M107. Recoil is like shooting a 20 gauge shotgun. My wife wants one. When ever I get $8,000 for one I will buy her one. LOL

EOD has them for detonating dud rounds, disabling mines, etc.. we got to fire them after a MK19 convoy live fire to detonate dud 40mm rounds. As for the PEQ-2, he doesn't have a night vision sight, so it might be for night engagements. He might have a night vision or thermal weapon sight in his kit, so it might be for designating targets to line guys.

Ive used it a lot,got a guy to surrender just by shooting thru the wall he was hiding behind,good detorrent.As for kick u can rapid fire it in the PRONE and still have a sholder.
