i picked up this original rifle for 25 dollars then built it for my hunting buddy.the factory wood has been modified and finished in truck bed coating for a no slip finish.all metal parts have been sand blasted then hot blued for a matte blue finish

1917 enfield 30-06

is my next project,i am redoing the walnut stock that was made in the early fiftys.i am removing alot of wood to shed weight then will be finishing the wood.the metal was rusty so t was sand blasted and blued,i will be removing the barrel to install a muzzle brake.brakes are made and installed by a machinist friend.i also flatenedthe magazine box
