He's protecting the freedoms we enjoy that many take for granted.

Carlos Norman Hathcock II (May 20, 1942 – February 23, 1999) was a United States Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant sniper with a service record of 93 confirmed kills. Hathcock's record and the extraordinary details of the missions he undertook made him a legend in the Marine Corps. His fame as a sniper and his dedication to long distance shooting led him to become a major developer of the United States Marine Corps Sniper training program. He has, in recent years, had the honor of having a rifle named after him: a variant of the M21 dubbed the Springfield Armory M25 White Feather
If you have a problem with a man who served his country and probably helped save lives of thousands of soldiers by inventing a rifle used by the army then I suppose that perhaps you understand what this country is all about and the sacrifices that people have made to keep this country free.
Maybe it's just me...but I think there are a few other people that think like I do.
I and most of us did NOT have to look it up.. you did.... I dont have a problem with gunny i hold the man in high reverence.. I and a lot here wear the Vietnam service medal...click my image and you will see i have it on my skin.. and i promise you all on this site know me and my honor... PERIOD!

speaking of which.. in our little area of rural az the property values have gone down 40%.. obviously they were to high to start with, but 40%.. The horse property across the road from us was owned by a couple who were both ready to retire. Both had worked for the state for 20+ years, just wonderuful salt of the earth types.. They couldnt sell thier home in the valley and were forced to give the property back to the bank.. And these were sucessfull professionals, the sort that never consider going bankrupt.. Pretty sad, and now our beautiful view has a forclosed sign on the gate.. should say had...some asshole tore it down in the middle of the night.. ok it was 1830 ..but dark...
sight for a minute LOL!!!

id actually be ok if i didnt spell like a retard..
I'd like to buy the world a joint and watch them toke it up LOL!!!
i hate stories like that where hard working people get shit on,now is not the time to try and sell property,my daughter who is a realtor bought a new townhouse 5 years ago, then a house, and rented out the townhouse but the rent had to be 1900.00 per month just to stay in the black and since the market collapsed, that's not possible since other properties are renting for about 500 dollars less,so they just sold it last week to get out from under it and chalk that up to a bad deal, she was lucky she had connections and didn't take a huge financial hit but they are at least young enough to absorb the bump they did get,and the quality of renters out there was a real problem for them too,i think Daisycutter could relate to that some too.
and lost a hunk on bad ones. It's all about having a sense and I don't have any LOL
I think thats what botherd Gloria and i the most about this.. Thier lifes are now ruined..least as far as thier financial future.. and these were NOT the sort that would ever have to deal with that sort of thing.. the ultimate shit happens thing.. im honestly wondering if were finished with the downturn at this time.. dow was ok fri..but two days last week it had hits of over 200 points..and im thinking were far from being out of the woods..
estate for a year and a half at least, prolly longer. You have to get growth in the small business sector before the market will strenghten. A lot of the unemployeds have to be reabsorbed into the work place.
to introduce my charming self...
our "poster" had made a smart ass comment about something you said about the weather, and bob told him to move to mongolia, or (not bloody likely to happen) take a vow of silence.. its all your fault daisy.. by the way are you still getting weather.. we now have snow on the ground..
sure is picking up for me,that usually happens when people don't want to buy new,but everybody expects to get it cheap and tomorrow,i have cut my bid rate in half and i am working sat and sun, reminds me of the mid 80s again
I don't think we're through. I think things will be unsettled throughout 2010. I hope I'm wrong. I'm trying to find a better place to move some money right now. It's not losing anything where it is now, but it's just kind of holding its own. Might as well have it in a checking account. I can't just take it out, because the investment company would have to report it to the IRS and I'd have to pay taxes on it. I'll have to move it to a better IRA type investment so it doesn't get reported. I checked over 20 different investment funds, and none of them are doing any better than where I have it now. I'm going to meet with an investment broker Tuesday who has a good reputation, and see what options he might have.
If you had money that is not locked in a retirement fund I would very seriously consider real estate.
I already jumped in and bought a foreclosure, too gutless to go out on the limb for another one though.
we got out of the market when it hit its high or at least close to it 11.5K if i remember.. and our advisor told us to go with an AIG annuity (this was 6 months before the big aiggate) so we did, and because of his forsite (neither Gloria or i would have known) what he put us with has a guarnatied hi watermark...so even tho the value is like a third less we will still get hi water.. minus what ever we take out to live on.. this is acutally an AIG subsidery sunlife.. but still just sorta blessed here cause we had no idea.. What do you guys think of gold.. its gone so hi, that im thinking it cant possibley still rise, but if the buck fails... pretty simple..
metals, we all missed it I think. It could go up more but at the selling price now the risk got pretty big, not like when you could buy it at , say, $300. Now $300 is nickles and dimes compared to what you'd pay now. Could be money making but it's a rich man's game now in my book.
bit embarrasing as i should have known this but didnt.. when it all fell apart our annuity was like a third less at least ..so i call our guy.. now before this i was proud of getting out at the right time.. so im all upset... what can we do etc.. he tells us about the guaranted hi water mark.. talk about happy..
