put a scope on a lever action rifle or a single shot,break action rifle and you will have difficulty safely operating the hammer.This rifle is my Rossi 410 gauge/.17HMR Matched Pair.As you can see by the tight space between the bottom of the scope and the hammer,things are tight.I could operate the rifle but I had to do it VERY CAREFULLY!I machined this extension out of 6061-T6 aluminum in a size that fits my fingers.I can make them in smalller diameter also.
