I dont remember that front end on it, but sure do remember the counter rotating props. This was in Sangley Pt. PI, across the bay from Manila. What i remember the most about it was the camoflage. Had the brit/aussi brown with tan camo. and was great camo, but they had a HIGH GLOSS finish on the paint job. That even a 19 yr old kid knew didn't make any sense. Bunch of us were just kicken down by the beach, that was only like 50 yds from the end of the runway, this thing comes in on final like something out of WWII, think it had Her Majasties South East Asian Royal AF on it.. Sun would sorta blind you reflecting off the gloss paint job. Wish i could remember what the front looked like but sure it didn't have a twin turret mount.
a man has to hold his word, hold his beliefs, and hold a good sight picture.
Man those were the days.. Outside the gate at Sangley pt. there were bout 5 blocks of bars one after another, lining both sides of the street, Can't remember to many, squadron sorta adopted two (or they us) "the quarter deck" and "corra's up scope", every thing was cheap, and sorta 24 hr R&R. You keep your "jack" bro, i'll take the san miguel.

It is a British ASW patrol craft which flew from 1951 to 1990. It was loosely based on the lancaster heavy bomber of WW II fame.
