actually obama didnt decide a thing. Some very powerful people that tell him what to do and what to say, decided for him.
obama is a chicago democrat and many of his cabinet members are chicago democrats..
Anyway, the comannder in chief is sending troops to afghanistan.
Do we have 30,000 troops to spare?
Will there be any military people left in the USA to protect us when Obama declares martial law??
U.N. peacekeepers will be patrolling our streets and towns.
Thats when the 2nd Amendment is most useful...
I just revealed some of my political leanings..
You might be the resident pinko if you don't shape up.. Honestly i was more disapointed in the speach than i expected to be. The one thing he's capable of is being an excelent orator, and i assumed being at the Point that he would give his first powerful speach relating to the Military, this was almost a given considering the events in Iran this week. I was amazed at how uninspiring he was.. Felt sorry for the cadets who were ready to tear the place up when he brought a little passion to his speach, and nope, not only lacking in emotion, but the time table, the whole issue of how much it costs, (when he's doubled the deficit in 10 months) another failure in my book, and sad.
I lived in illinois for 19 years and did alot of political stuff.
Not in the democratic circle..
I was there when obama came onto the scene. he became a US Senator when he beat Alan Keyes. keyes was the stand-in candidate when Jack Ryan
(the republican nominee)dropped out because of a scandal. His wife-the sexy bitch on star trek- said that he used to take her to swinger parties. Keyes didnt even live in Illinois. the republican machine let keyes run to make the conservatives look bad. it was a freakin sham..
I am a hard line Americanist. libertarian. I was active in republican politics to try to reform the republican party.
the republican machine hated me.
Americanist is the opposite of communist and socialist.
Socialism is the pretty twin sister of communism. Both are bad.
democrats are 100 mile per hour socialist.
republicans are 50 mile per hour socialist.
I am an Americanist.
I didnt watch the speech..
I followed the whole Allen Keys deal, and your right about the set up, I also agree with the 50/100 mph analogy of the partys, its safe to say the the Rep party today reflects the Dem party in the 50's or 60's. The issue is how to A) reform the Repubican party, while B) not deviding the vote. This is exactly what the Democrats want a split party. Even tho i firmly support the Libertarian plank, i do so knowing i will have to vote for a Republican or be a "spoiler".. The only votes libertarians take are from Republican canditates. Simmer to the issue with Nadder/Gore
the libertarians cant get on the ballot consistantly.
And for the most part the candidates are a joke..
have you ever watched the Libertarian Convention on television.
I found out from experience that the republican party cannot be reformed.
It took 4 years of very hard work and recruiting committeemen for me to become the county chairman of the republican party, and then the state republican machine unleashed its fury.. Oh my god.. they pretended that they were fighting the devil..
It was sorta sad, i think they had like the second largest room at the holiday inn, and didnt fill it. Then they called up the nominees to give thier speaches, and after the third one i thought boy this is sad. If a candidate made a point there "might" be this scattered applause, sorta like what you would expect for the local rotary club. Bear in mind this was a few years back, and drawing (i think) more members now. It's late and the spell check at your own risk disclamer light is on.
I saw last years convention on tv. it wasnt much better than the old one.
Sad. Sorry. Pitiful.
I am a little L libertarian...
