Last date 1913 first date 1897. Will try to get more info on it for you mike
Saying that based on two things. The grips are new, and the sights are larger than the original.. I know they were gona reissue the 1911, the A1 of course has the curved mainspring as opposed to the flat mainspring housing on the 1911, and the sights are very small, the way all the old ones were.. So i "think" this is a reissue...
army issue march 29 1911 navy and marinecorps issue 1913...small changes 1924 led to 1911a1
But i still think this is the reissue of the 1911.. due to grips, sights, and the conditon.. The only thing that makes me wonder if this is the origianl as opposed to the "reissue" is the two tone magazine. those were original, and i know that Colt recieved some criticism in the past for not having the mags two toned on thier reissue.. Not positive, but i think this is the reissue.
