Think he did it for the points! Shoots like an AK, a lot of muzzle rise, but does have a new chrome lined barrel so it's fairly accurate.

LOL, yeah. Me and J3t3rArmy were discussing that one day, I'm working on getting my 4th star before too much longer, then I just have to wait until about 5 years after Vaquero dies and I can catch him for my 5th.

Anyway, how hard was it to put this together? I would love to do something like this if it's not too much of a stone crusher.

AK Build

Well it's not to bad if you own a machine shop (lol) other wise it can be done at home, I watched a lot of videos on utube to get some ideas and there's some good one out there and also some good web sites." this is a must" to decide if you what to have the pleasure of building your own, you have to buy or make your own jigs to bend the receiver, press in the barrel and rivet, or know someone who has them. I made my own! and had the rivet gun, quality was my major objective as I didn't want to spend a bunch of $ and end up with S#!t. otherwise just buy one. Also have to follow some ATF guidelines or it's 5-10 in Levenworth! FCG and # of U.S. made parts, so be careful and follow the rules. Prices have been rising on the kits as we all know whats coming, I was lucky and got mine for around $180.00 I believe they are now at least double, so you really have to have the desire to do this project! I thought the more I build the better the payoff in the end! "being mine" guess the wife will benefit Other wise more ATF rules on registering the receivers as that is what they consider the "gun" 80% receiver flats are awesome. If you decide to do this let me know and I'll point you in the right direction.
