The Galil is a different sort of sniper rifle. The Isreal defense department took the standard Galil assualt rifle, rechambered it to 7.62x51mm NATO, added a slick little adjustable stock that folds for transport, mounted the bipod to the front of the reciever (as opposed to the barrel), added a two stage trigger and mounted a scope on the side of the reciever to avoid mounting to the stamped reciever on top the rifle. I have yet to get the opportunity to use this rifle, so I do not have a concrete opinion. My first impression is that the rifle will perform like an accurized assualt rifle, and not like a true sniper rifle. But of course I can be proven wrong.

this one is from the 60s at least. it look nothing like the modern IWI Galil Sniper Rifle, which, btw come in several different calibers including: 7.62mm x 51mm NATO .308, 8.6mm x 70mm Lapua Magnum, 7.62mm x .300 win magnum, and 6.5mm x 55mm Swede.

the newest versions of the IWI Galil can compete with most any sniper rifle in the world.

Only thing I know about IWI is it was the former IMI.
Ebear

Chales Daly for one thing. the other thing is they have cut a deal to market Jericho pistols and so far Jericho pistols only. these are only one line of pistols manufactured by IWI. further Daly does not have exclusive rights, but only partial, limited rights as one of IWI's distributors. the Israeli government maintains controling interest in IWI.

thanks, i knew it was something like that.....thats why i made sure my pistol was an original IMI JERICHO 941. IT WAS CALLED AN UZI BEFORE THAT.

from me to look at
LittleDragon
and IMI became IWI but the Jericho and Uzi lines have a common root. you should see the pistol our design group picked instead of the Jericho. that will give you an idea of how good it is.
Your friend,
